Anders Wasserfall

Norwegian composer Anders Wasserfall is a product of his surroundings, creating organic electronic music using an array of tools. Field-recordings feature heavily in his work, and you can often find him patrolling the streets of Oslo or Berlin hunting for the perfect sound that will convey his ideas within the piece. He was credited as both composer and sound designer for the 2008 German drama, Die Im Schatten Sieht Mann Nicht, which was nominated for a best film on the "New Berlin Film Award-Festival." In 2010, Anders did the sound design for Dino, the Norwegian thriller.

Anders Wasserfall is currently studying sound engineering and sound design at Nordic Institute for Scene & Studio (NISS) in Oslo.

He also works with Jørgen Vaage and Bjørnar Thyholdt in Halt the Flux, a band that is much admired for their jazz-influenced mix of organic and electronic instruments, which vary from abstract ambient to glitchy jazz-breaks. In 2008 and 2009, Halt The Flux toured Germany and Norway with their interpretation of the silent film, A Man With A Movie Camera. Anders's music is often described as cinematic, and provides a special athmosphere to a broad array of productions.
