Bruce Cohen's musical career as a founding member of the Philadelphia band, THE REDS®, spans three decades of critically acclaimed recording and film work, including 13 REDS albums, two solo albums, film soundtracks, songs and score for TV (Miami Vice, One Life To Live, General Hospital), major film companies (De Laurentiis, Tri-Star, New Line), and projects involving directors like Michael Mann, Jack Shoulder, Paul Michael Glaser. Bruce's solo work includes writing scores for numerous theater productions at Philadelphia's Walnut Theater, and for The Pulse Theater Company in NYC.
Bruce Cohen's first solo album, "One BC" (2009), contains all atmospheric, ambient instrumentals in the tradition and style of Brian Eno and Peter Gabriel. His second album, "Two BC" (2011) contains tracks that go from spacial, lush, ambient soundscapes, to metal space Funk, with every track receiving the special Bruce Cohen treatment. And, in a totally different side project, Bruce, along with Rik Myers and Brandon Cruz, formed a heavyily psychedelic Hammond organ Jazz trio, Big Fun 3. The Miami based group is signed to Ropeadope Records, who who released their first album April 2010.
