Native American drumming and flute, haunting spectral voices, sound design, and electronics combine to make this piece suitable for your ghost story... why do they always build those houses on ancient burial grounds? Instrumental, Horror, Horror World Beat
A short recording of nature ambience featuring the sounds of a small river, birds, and insects; the stems of the bird/insect and water recordings are available as separate tracks. Note that the tail end of the recording features some brief background noise of a bird of a different sort! Nature,
A slow, aleatoric piano melody with ghostly reverberation tails (in several flavours) which would be suitable as underscore/sound design for the quiet period before the build-up/stinger in a horror scene. Think our heroes exploring that dark basement before they turn on the lights to find... Instrumental, Horror, Horror Piano
This piece mirrors the current penchant for combining processed orchestral instruments with sound design elements in a style which is simultaneously electronic and organic in nature. Alternate variations on the main theme are included as well. Instrumental, Science Fiction, Ambient Soundscape
A calming, atmospheric piece, casting an aura of being peacefully disoriented - suspended halfway between the dream and waking world. With piano, synthesizers and female vocals. Female Vocals, Dramatic, Ethereal Music
A looped, binaural recording of an Industrial Air Conditioner; the recording has been "performed" in that the binaural microphone has been panned physically by the recordist. This results in a natural panning between left and right channels which keeps the sound interesting and non-static. Mechanical,
Binaural recordings of an Olympic sized swimming pool from the viewing area - sounds include: (unintelligible) conversation, water lapping, the diving board, swimmers splashing. The 2nd set of "Diving Board" recordings feature the sound of the diving board more prominently. Ambience,
A short piece which starts gently and builds - with Piano, Trumpet and Strings - great for signifying positive transition. Think of a forest being planted and then years later bursting with green leaves, shade and life; OR Winter turning to Spring; OR leaving on a great journey, with one small step. Instrumental, Dramatic, Regal Orchestral
An electronic piece with a dubby beat and very cold digital sounding synthesizers. The variation features the original repeating sequence on which the piece is built (from the Yamaha Tenori-On) and is a stripped down, beatless version, Instrumental, Electronic, IDM
A dark, building, soundscape which ends in a distorted stinger - reminiscent of a build that would take place in a horror movie when that door that should have stayed closed gets opened... Instrumental, Horror, Horror Torture Music
A suspenseful track combining atmospheric electronics with dark orchestral colours; picture a killer pursuing his victim across dark city streets, our hero one step behind on the trail... Instrumental, Horror, Horror Chase
A sharp stinger with a metallic texture, a short build, and no reverb tail. The style is reminiscent of the sound design in the movie "Gravity" in which the sound builds and then drops suddenly, usually as the scene cuts. Instrumental, Dangerous, Edgy Music
A chaotic piece with a repeating, modulated, gritty synth sequence/drums with calm chords/bass underneath. Conveys an atmosphere of stability in the midst of a harsh, changing background. Instrumental, Electronic, IDM
