Happy Juliet is Albany, New York singer/songwriter Elisabeth St. Amour, a Bachelor of Arts graduate in Electronic Music from New York State University. Her lush, alluring, richly textured, beautiful vocal style portrays a contemporary heart capturing innocence. She released her album of original compositions “Songs From My 20’s” in early 2011. Her vocal style can be compared to artists as diverse and talented as k. d. lang, Natalie Merchant, Loreena McKennitt (The Mummers’ Dance) and others. Among her influences are many top artists; The Smiths and Depeche Mode to name just two.
Elisabeth St. Amour, aka Happy Juliet, also has studied singing and piano at NYSU in Albany. She has recorded music for films and other projects under several pseudonyms. Among those projects are the Tribeca Cinemas Film Festival short film “Ho’s and Mo’s”, written and directed by Michael L. Mizrahi. She also collaborated with Sundance Film Festival Animation Director M Dot Strange. She provided words and music for the song “Ache” that was included in their project “F. A. C. E.”
