Jabluezz is a UK jazz ensemble, essentially a reed-based group, with a unique sound often recorded without a drummer. Their music is filled with sexy, laidback notes from saxes, clarinets and bass clarinet, piano and bass -- creating different moods and colours within each song. Keith Wilson writes and arranges, plays sax and clarinet, and often sings for the group. His vocals remind one of Tony Bennett, and his lyrics often make you stop and nod your head. Nostalgic, sweet and haunting melodies, while a few Jabluezz songs will evoke memories that will make you laugh out loud.
The adaptablity of the Jabluezz group is its strong point going from a quartet to a tentet for backing behind a vocal line. All numbers are original and perfect for capturing an earlier, jazzier era in your TV, Film, and documentary productions. Think big city dreams, candlelight dinners, dancing cheek-to-check, and late-night romance or the occasional romantic comedy scenario.
A clever use of instruments places the characters in mind, the soprano for the Naiads the water nymphs, and the Bass clarinet for the drunken bumbling Silenus. An original piece done in the unique style that is Jabluezz, this leaves you feeling touched by the magical creatures.
