Steve Taylor has studied classical guitar with world class artists such as Christopher Parkening, Douglas Niedt, Oscar Ghilia, and Pepe Romero. He won the MTNA state and divisional competitions in classical guitar and competed as an MTNA national finalist. Steve's original music has been used in various CD/DVD projects and has won recognition at the Winfield Music Festival. Several of his mellow, laidback songs have been used for in-house productions by Hallmark and for e-cards by DaySpring.
Steve Taylor's original composition, Skipping Stones, won 1st place in the instrumental category of the New Song Contest at the 2010 Winfield Music Festival. Skipping Stones has also been selected through AudioSparx for use in a CD/DVD project.
Steve also was awarded a 2nd place for his song 'You're A Part Of Me' in the 2009 Winfield Music Festival New Song Showcase. You're A Part Of Me was recently used as special music in an event in Switzerland.
Several of Steve's compositions have been used by Hallmark for in-house productions, and DaySpring has used several tracks. Steve additionally received numerous first place ratings in the Neo Classical category for original music at another site.
Steve performed several guitar solos on Dave Panico's smooth jazz CD - Joy Rid'n.
