Long Description: Debussy - Clair de Lune, Classical Music, Romantic Period, cheap royalty free music, license music and download stock music
Keywords: The romantic period in music ushered in the change from the precise crispness of the classical period - Mozart and Haydn - to the "heart on the sleeve" unabashed show of emotions which became the trademark of the romantic period. Debussy lived in the latter part of the romantic period, and his music has been termed "impressionistic". The French impressionistic painters lived around the same time, so that style showed up in art as well as music. Debussy crafted wonderful melodies, some of which are here in "Clair de Lune". He was also noted for delving a bit into the same type of rhythmic syncopations which showed up in the ragtime music of America, though there is not evidence of that in this piece. In listening to "Clair de Lune", one is transported to another place for those few minutes. It is beautiful, moving, and wonderfully crafted.
