Irrelevant

The world is another place, the light is around the face of the screen
for me, alone--to be free and unknown
She liked to feel uninvolved, your age is another kind of light to be free
alone, and of eloquent show…

All of you wandering seeing all beings, so irrelevant. All of these lonely old
people in me, so irrelevant
Make it a roadblock for me to be needed oh, you’re irrelevant
So we wander of the years of old—

A face within the crowd, he wrapped it in a towel to be seen, with me
holding with nowhere to go
You’re shadows of outer space. You lured all your escapades in a case for free, to be sent to be far from your home

How does it feel to be free and involved and yet your irrelevant?
Not to be seen but unneeded is sad, you’re so irrelevant

But you long to face the fear

Heaven dissolving you would be knowing – heading around for need of some bread
You could be holding wandering lonely, waiting for treasure promising shame
Is it ever enough? To be faded along this bleak game?
