JESUS, BORN A KING

VS 1	One starry night so long ago, 
        Just like the prophets had foretold,
	A king was born, so meek and mild; 
        A light to all who saw Him smile, 
        They saw Him smile.

	This royal babe from heaven’s throne, 
        Would make the world His very own.
	His precious face looked to the skies, 
        To see His Father’s loving eyes,   
        God’s loving eyes.

CH	Jesus, born a King,
	Savior, to You we sing.
	Gift from God above,
	Master and Lord of love.

VS 2	The sky was filled with heavenly choirs 
        That sang the praise of God’s desires.
	The baby breaths that Jesus drew 
        Were songs of praise the angels knew, 
        The angels knew.

CH	Jesus, born a King,
	Savior, to You we sing.
	Gift from God above,
	Master and Lord of love.

BR	Shepherds that listened to the angels rose up;
	They came to see the tiny Lord Whom angels spoke of.
	The Wisemen with their gifts would come to see Him close up.
	To celebrate His birth with all the earth and those of heaven!

VS 3	The lowly cattle in that place  
        Could sense that God, with all His grace,
	Had sent His only son to earth 
        To have a simple humble birth, 
        A humble birth.

CH	Jesus, born a King, 
        Savior, to You we sing.
	Gift from God above, 
        Master and Lord of love.
