Sakha National Dance Theatre Orchestra (East European Tracks)

Traditional Music from East SiberiaThe National Orchestra of the National Dance Theatre of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) under the direction of its conductor Nicolay Petrov is a young talented group, well-known both at home and abroad.  The orchestra consists of twenty-five musicians, all of them alumni of the Yakutsk Musical College named in honor of M.N. Zhukov, and of the East Siberian Culture and Art Academy.  The group became the first professional orchestra of national instruments of the Sakha Republic.
