Composer Stuart Ridgway writes for film and television. Credits include P Diddy, Making The Band; MTV's Real World/Road Rules, NBC's Emmy Award winning Starting Over, Oxygen's Bad Girls Club, MTV's Paris Hilton's My BFF, CW's Stylista, E! - Keeping Up With The Kardashians, TLC's Date My House, Camp 9/11, Magnolia Pictures, AOL, The US Army, The NBA, and many more. As a kid in suburbia, Stuart was trapped and forced to listen to AM radio. Had it not been for his college roommate, Dirk, he would have withered and died in a wedding band. Dirk introduced Stuart to David Sylvian, Eddie Palmieri, XTC and Jobim. Year after year these new rhythms, chords and harmonies seeped into Stuart's brain and were eventually released through his songwriting.He then realized that all of those classic songs that he'd been trying to deny had one important thing in common: good songwriting. He's come full circle now that he write scores for film and television. His music may have a cool rhythm or new combination of instruments, but it will always have the elements of good songwriting: a satisfying combination of the known and the unknown.
