Todd Keller's music is very personal, and sometimes can be a dark, sarcastic and bittersweet combination. He's tried to use his life experience, friends and family as his muses. His motto for the past 10 years has been "Imagine, Create and Realize." His influences include the Beatles and the Stones, Bowie, Elton John, the Cure, the Cult, Bauhaus, the Damned, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Morcheeba, Moby, Fatboy Slim, Elliott Smith and Beck. Todd J. Keller's sound has been attributed to the likes of Elliott Smith with some Beatlesque overtones. Drawing on influences from artists like David Bowie, Neil Young, Radiohead and Foo Fighters, his sound is unmistakably original. Todd has crafted a style all his own by elaborating on simple ideas utilizing tight arrangements and instrumentation (with a few surprises thrown in!).
Some of Todd's newest material draws upon influnces in electronica, utilizing interesting sounds and effected traditional instrumentation. Kinda' like if Prodigy and Morcheeba met Chemical Brothers and Groove Armada.
Working out of his home recording studio, Todd continues writing diverse songs for film, television and advertising placements. Todd has collaborated with several individuals to broaden his vision: Tom Biller, Tim Goldman and Jeff Whitaker. Working with TAXI, Todd will continue to spread his influence and talent.
