Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Mark Petrie is a busy Los Angeles-based composer. He writes in a wide range of styles and has composed music for dozens of TV shows, as well as over 30 films. Mark's music is featured in Valley of the Angels, a 2008 suspense thriller, Mr. Blue Sky, a 2008 drama, and many others. His music can also be heard every day on TV shows, political campaigns, major sporting events and commercials worldwide. If you need chilling music for your psycho horror flick or the creepy monster lurking in the basement, Mark's got you covered!

Mark Petrie traveled to the U.S. from New Zealand after winning a scholarship to study film scoring at Berklee College of Music. Later, in 2004, he was chosen as a recipient of the Pete Carpenter Fellowship, and moved to Los Angeles to work with the dynamic TV music icon Mike Post.
