Another Dave/ David Cudo

Home: Corvallis, Oregon USA

Soothing. Sultry. Surprising. are just a few words used to describe the music of sax & piano duo Another Dave, featuring David Cudo on soprano and alto saxophones, and Suzannah Doyle on piano and keyboards.
Their Christmas album "December Breeze" is a tasty mix of easy listening, light jazz versions of such holiday classics as Silent Night, original tunes, an Afrikan/ Klezmer inspired rendition of "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen," and two songs by veteran singer/ recording artist Mark Kershner, who lends his crystal clear voice to a Sammy Cahn update of "There's No Place Like Home" and Thad Jones' classic jazz ballad "A Child is Born."This CD prompted an invitation for Another Dave to perform at the White House in Washington, D.C. (which they did) and is listened to year round by those who enjoy its relaxing feel.

Their 2nd album, D.C. Direct is a collection of soothing smooth jazz and soft rock instrumentals.
It includes a haunting ambient rendition of Amazing Grace, sultry yet passionate explorations of "The Summer Knows," and "My Heart Will Go On," as well as a swinging version of "Speak Softly Love," from the Godfather. This CD blends New Age, Folk, swing, and smooth jazz, and includes a live 11-minute improvisation with soprano sax, piano & guitar.

Another Dave features David Cudo on Soprano and Alto Saxophones, Suzannah Doyle on piano and synths, and guest artists including Warren Zaeger on Bass, Daniel Mahoney on guitar, Steven Cudo on Trumpet, Lyris Cooper on clarinet, and Clay Smith on guitar.

WARNING: Do NOT operate heavy machinery while listening to Another Dave! :-)
