Matthew McCullough first discovered how to turn on a computer in 1999, and has been tweaking faders, turning knobs and twisting sound waves to create his unique, but very accessible sounds. His music can be heard extensively on television and in numerous independent films. Most recently, his music was used on Oprah, MTV, The History Channel, Discovery Channel, the Food Network and in nationally aired commercials for Audi and Cobra Golf. Take a listen to this Native New Yorker's latest, hottest music to discover why his smokin' sounds are blanketing many LA and NYC productions.
About how he works, Matthew McCullough said, "When I'm not in a dark room pointing a mic out the window or leaving it on all night to capture the sounds ghosts make while I'm sleeping, I can be found in a local dive bar in NYC getting inspiration from my incredibly talented friends. Never take for granted what's happening around you. There's always something to capture and reproduce for all to hear." We couldn't agree more and are delighted Matthew brings us his great original compositions!
Slow, sloppy, sweaty, down and dirty describes this track. Moaning sound effects and distorted guitars with a heavy beat. Takes you to your favorite dive bar - and leave you there. Instrumental, Blues Music, Electric Blues
A slow, dark and menaching track with clicks and clacks - it's downright scary. Makes you feel like you're trapped in Freddy Krueger's basement. Exactly 1:30 in length. Instrumental, Dangerous Music, Edgy Music
Lovely melody that builds. Mystery and intrigue, nice beat. Mellow music that would be great as background as action builds or as interludes preceding action. Strings and drums, Instrumental, Dangerous Music, Mysterious Music
1:30 in length. A perfect mellow, pretty piece featuring a gentle drum, organ, and bells. Very sweet and gentle - perfect background music for a variety of moods and scenes. Instrumental, Dramatic Music, Calm Mellow Music
Perfectly sweet and gentle describe this track. Would make an ideal background track for a commercial. Cut to 30 seconds. Pizzicato strings and cello accompany the classical piano figure. So sweet it hurts. Instrumental, Dramatic Music, Energizing Music
A trip-hop track with low, rumbling pads with strings and a harp dominant this one. A perfect background track for building suspense or for a scene needing a mysterious backdrop. Instrumental, Dangerous Music, Dark Music
A hybrid track consisting of elements of both traditional South Asian folk songs and western instrumentation (including electronica elements). The voice is beautiful, the acoustic guitars are beautiful. It really is an interesting song that won't disappointed. Male Vocals, World Fusion, Indian World Fusion
An airy, mysterious track with a glitter of life with the faint sound of "something"! Is this the end or is this just the beginning? Mysterious, creepy, scary, like just before a mob hit in a charming Italian restaurant with the wind howling outside. Wolves gathering, buzzards circling, look out! Instrumental, Dangerous Music, Dark Music
