Born and raised in Birmingham England Darren was introduced to music from a very early age, having a father who was a very accomplished professional musician. Through his teenage years he graduated from the Royal School of Music but felt somewhat unsatisfied with the classical music he had been studying. Post playing a few sessions with some very accomplished improvisers he decided to study jazz at the Guild Hall London, here he managed to obtain two diplomas in jazz improvisation.
The next chapter in his life led him to play in numerous session situations covering most of Europe and sometimes beyond. One of these situations landed him in Florida USA, which he made his home for several years. He played everywhere from back street bars to cruise ships playing just about every kind of music ever invented! After some family problems forcing him back to England, he still managed to get himself into some very strange situations in some far off lands. Darren is now once again residing back in Florida where he is concentrating solely on writing & recording in his home studio for the TV/Film industry.
