Alan St. George
Hot UK composer, lyricist and arranger Alan St. George brings us dramatic music in several genres, including both whimsical and edgy works. “Man on a Ledge” is a fast-paced orchestral track perfect for a movie trailer or mystery cue, while "The Witching Hour" would be right at home in a Harry Potter film. Alan's music has been featured for a number of years in London and NYC film and theatrical productions.
Alan St George was born in Liverpool, England. He began composing music and writing lyrics at the age of five, and created his first musical at the age of nine which he produced in his family living room, enlisting siblings and neighborhood children as cast.
After moving to New York City in the late '70s, Alan wrote the music and lyrics for “Eight To The Bar,” a musical of his own concept which was workshopped in various locations around New York City. It was optioned by an Off-Broadway producer after its very first public performance.
In 2001 Alan wrote English lyrics and additional music for “THE LAST EMPRESS” – the first musical to come out of South Korea, which had a multi-million dollar production in London’s Hammersmith Apollo theatre in February 2002. This was followed by creating English lyrics for an epic French musical based on The Count of Monte Cristo which had its first showcase in New York in the summer of 2002 with further showcases following.
