After 25 years of film scoring, rock and roll, musical theatre and more, and with 300+ songs and five musicals to his credit, LA composer, songwriter and entertainer Rob Johnson just had 13 tracks picked up for CBS's new Jenna Elfman fall pilot, Accidentally on Purpose. Other projects for which he has composed music include trailers for Madea’s Family Reunion and Daddy’s Little Girl (both for Lionsgate); Heart of the Game (Miramax); Click, starring Adam Sandler; Scoop, starring Hugh Jackman (Focus Features); and cues for How I Met Your Mother (CBS) and Parental Control (MTV).
It would be hard to find a songwriter and composer with a richer musical background than Rob Johnson. Through his years in the music industry, Rob's experiences have included work in such diverse disciplines as television and film scoring, rock and roll, musical theater, cabaret and pop. Rob has performed vocals, bass, guitar and piano in many original rock & roll and Top 40 bands, and also has done many solo acoustic performances of his unique songs. Originally from Fargo, ND he moved to Boston to pursue a career in music. Since moving to L.A. in 2000, Rob has composed scores and written original songs for more than twenty feature films, short films, documentaries, and TV projects, including working with Warner Bros., Disney, Lionsgate, and many others.
