Marla Sgro is a third generation singer, songwriter and entertainer from an illustrious musical family. Her uncles are the world famous Harmonicats who appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show many times. Marla has a Janis Joplin voice quality but can bring forth a coy sweetness not found in Joplin. Her lyrics get right to the point of life's ups and downs making no apologies. With two albums released and work in progress on a third, Marla commands a dynamic stance in the world of female vocalists.
West Virginia composer Marla Sgro is working full-time as a musician and entertainer who is comfortable as a soloist, with just her guitar, or performing onstage with one of the many bands she works with.
