Pedro Costa
Pedro Costa is a Canadian singer and songwriter from Northern Ontario. Born of Portuguese roots, he spent part of his childhood living in Europe, which influenced him in his music. Although he was involved in music in various capacities throughout his life, in 2009 Pedro released his debut album, The Light, which has garnered airplay and charted nationally in Poland. Pedro's compositions are a blend of Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock and Classic Rock. With soulful lyrics and beautiful, compelling harmonies, his music assures a broad audience appeal for TV, Film and Documentary usage.
Pedro's first Alternative Rock track The Light reached an amazing 11th place on Poland's most prestigious chart Listy Przebojów. Via a popularity vote it was also voted into the top 100 songs of 2009. The Light was the most successful song by a foreign independent artist in nearly 30 years competing head to head with the likes of U2.
