Scott Jones (Asian Tracks)

Home: Missouri USA

An exceptionally talented artist from Missouri, Scott Jones has composed, performed, and arranged in nearly every style of contemporary music. His Dramatic compositions draw on influences like John Williams, Bear McCreary, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, Thomas Newman, and Hans Zimmer, as well as the more Industrial styles of artists like Trent Reznor. Scott is also an incredible guitarist who is well-versed in Jazz, Fusion, Blues, Funk, and Rock, and his album titled "Freedom" made the Grammy finalist nomination list for Best Contemporary Jazz Album in 2004.

Scott Jones' work has been described as "epic," "extraordinary," and "brilliant," and famed Hollywood composer Bear McCreary said his "stuff sounds great! I love hearing fresh work from seasoned composers, especially such well-rounded ones as yourself." Longtime Dreamworks Executive Music Supervisor Todd Homme (Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Almost Famous) said "He's a very good musician obviously, and his composing is competitive, for sure!" Scott spent years at Grace Church in St. Louis as Music Director, Guitarist, Arranger, and Orchestrator, and after leaving his full-time position, he continued working for them as lead arranger on a fully immersive, percussion-ensemble-featured show called "Drummer Boy" -- an annual Christmas event drawing 30,000-40,000 people over 9 performances a week. Scott was named one of the world's Top Ten Undiscovered Guitarists by the editors of Guitar Player magazine, narrowed down from 3,000 submissions worldwide.
