G-Funk
DESCRIPTION: G-Funk is the laid-back, Parliament/Funkadelic-inspired variation of gangsta rap developed by Dr. Dre in the early '90s. Distinguished by its whiny, cheap synthesizers, slow grooves, deep bass, and, occasionally, faceless female backing vocals, G-funk became the most popular genre of hip-hop in the early '90s. After the success of Dr. Dre's 1992 album The Chronic -- the album where he invented and named the genre -- many new rap artists and producers followed his musical techniques, making it the most recognizable sound in rap for most of the early '90s.
G-Funk styled hip hop with "Kicks in the Bass" lyrics. Great feel and vibe and works great in MTV-styled and youth oriented reality programs. Male Rap & Vocals, Hip Hop, G-Funk
