"The Wizard of Beale Street," a compelling documentary from filmmaker, producer, and director Dave Goudge / DAG Film Productions tells the remarkable story of Rarecas "Rod" Bonds and the Beale Street Flippers, an extreme acrobatic troupe based in Memphis, Tennessee. The film examines the positive impact that Mr. Bonds and the Flippers have had on young African American men who face the daily challenges growing up surrounded by poverty and violence. Millions of television viewers first learned about the Beale Street Flippers through their appearances on "America's Got Talent," and they are now the #2 NBA halftime act in the USA.
Two tracks from talented AudioSparx Composers were licensed for the film's trailer:
Utterly cool and soulful, “Memphis” from Jo Cuseo opens the video with a down home Chicago - New Orleans type vocal blues shuffle in the style of true greats like John Lee Hooker and Howlin’ Wolf: Memphis
At around 1.00 min, Jonas Hornqvist gets seductive with “Late Night Blues,” a smooth, slow, and smoky mix of electric guitar licks, steady bass, drums, and organ, in the powerful blues-style of Eric Clapton: Late Night Blues
