If you're a film buff, you'll remember Oliver Stone's Oscar-winning screenplay for "Midnight Express," a violent and haunting film based on a true story about Billy Hayes, a young American backpacker tossed into a Turkish prison for trying to smuggle hashish back into the USA. Flash forward 40 years, and we have a new documentary, directed by Sally Sussman, that shows why the 1978 film was so explosive in Turkey and why Turkey at first wanted nothing to do with Billy Hayes's mea culpa tour, documented in Ms. Sussman's film.

In the trailer for "Midnight Return: The Story of Billy Hayes and Turkey," our Turkish composer Ramazan Yuksel's bold, cinematic track kicks in at the 33-sec. mark, helping to unravel facts not known 40 years ago when "Midnight Express" was being filmed: The Conqueror (Cinematic Movie Trailer)

Slavery is not just a horrible problem of the past. It is an ongoing tragedy around the globe. Award-winning "House of Cards" actress Robin Wright introduces this dramatic and compelling short film from Bermuda-based filmmaker Robert Zuill, which exposes the grim realities of human trafficking and Modern Slavery. Many, if not most of us, probably buy things produced by slave labor, especially cotton products. With this film, Mr. Zuill hopes to raise funds for a longer documentary and to promote the "Free2Work" App, which allows shoppers to scan barcodes to quickly determine if a product was made with slave labor.

Our client licensed three Dramatic tracks from Australian Composer Michael Allen to create a moving underscore for this important film:

--Beginning at 39 sec, Michael's dark and somber track "Starvation" sets a serious and sorrowful tone: Starvation

--At 2.40 min, the beautiful and emotive American Beauty Sound-Alike "I Wish" ushers in feelings of compassion and sympathy: I Wish

--Finally, at 5.24 min, "Doors," another American Beauty Sound-Alike, sets a hopeful, positive tone for change and a brighter future: Doors

Free2work is a project of The Not For Sale Campaign: https://www.notforsalecampaign.org and supported by the International Labor Rights Forum: https://www.notforsalecampaign.org.

The power to eliminate Modern Slavery is literally in your hands with the Free2Work App. Please consider helping this worthy cause...
