Highway Viking
I was driving last summer
alone in my car
one night on a bumpy road.
It was getting pretty late,
when I saw up ahead
a truck with a heavy load.


Well; the trucker pulled up.
A woman ran out
and I nearly died of fright,
as she walked to my car,
looked me in the eye 
and said: “Can I hitch a ride?”

She was sure looking all right
where she was standing in the light
She said she was not used to hiking.
“Come on in” I said,
don,t worry a thing
my friends they call me
a Highway Viking.”



I took to the highway
with this girl I'd picked up.
I was sure just feeling so fine
,she left her boyfriend cause,
he´d been cheating on her
for a very long time..yeah


I said: “Wherever you’re headin’?
I could take you there.”
“I really don’t mind." she said.
“I think you’re my kind.”

She was sure looking all right
where she was standing in the light
She said she was not used to hiking.
