I can almost feel the fire place burning
and the smell of the pine in the air
the chocolates hanging from the tree
the happy children running here and there

The turkey cooking in the oven
the eggnog as sweet as can be
the mistletoe hanging on the door
the presents all wrapped under the tree

Give me an old fashioned Christmas
one more time I will go
If I close my eyes
I can go back in time
to the Christmas I used to know

Bobby just made a snowman
it's starting to melt in the sun
the choir is outside singing carols
looks like they're all having fun
the neighbors stopped in and brought a pie
grandma and grandpa are on the way
we'll all go to church on midnight
and give praise to this glorious day
