We used to be two strangers passing strangers with our footsteps tapping
Wondering why each other were going nowhere
We used to catch each other staring from our balconies intending
Simply that we’d stop pretending we were never looking

Time crawls by like the twilight in the evening sky
And every moment passes by my eyes
In all this revelry there’s only one thing that I know for sure
I’ll meet you once again in my next life

We used to run around and worry, always back and forth in a hurry
Never a fleeting instant to wonder why

And I know you must be going somewhere
