Lame

Why are the faithful always in question?
A simple point for now and then to rule out rejection.
The answer to the challenge and tension,
Believing in the act of redemption.
I'm not here to preach His pain, but I know He didn't complain.
As we go on, as we live life, we live eternal sacrifice.
I know some are there to attack me,
Wonder why I even bother with my beliefs,
The way I live and how I grow lately sets me free.

If things get kind of hazy, and we get kind of lazy, then everybody's crazy, we surrender!
The other side agrees but totally off key, and yet they say, we surrender!
Popular demand, control, don't understand?  It's a personal demand for a paid vacation.
The will of all we know and how it could be so lives in expectations for a revelation.

Look to the figure hanging on the cross,
It's the very essence that's sets this world apart,
If you'd believe in Him you'd know what His point was -- all for you.
What you seek, and what I share, sometimes they don't straight compare.
But all I ask, a simple task, is that you give your faith a chance.
