Conquering my predilection

Life is not a fiction

Still not used to that.

Moving in the right direction

Given my affection and my time

Sorting through the mess I made

Measuring  the price I paid,
 
Those wasted years.

Silver lines the skies above me,

You ask me what I came here for

I say I was invited

As you turn away.

There’s little more than consequences

Hangin’ from the ceilings and the walls.

And even if I chose to care

I doubt if it would register that I was even there.

Your eyes are filled with emptiness

The hatred of the moment

God forbid the day you filled my heart (rpt)
