Steve Urwin
UK musician Steve Urwin has an ability to capture the visual within the music, and has a sensitive approach to new projects. His 2005 "Hidden" CD was an opening to writing using new sounds and rhythms from around the globe. Steve's heart is still in the jazz scene of latter years but he loves the challenge of the music of the new state and has the ability to think outside the box for specific projects. Steve writes for the visual media and enjoys the search for just the right sounds that will make the picture come alive.
Steve released an instrumental CD in 2005 'HIDDEN' which received some very favourable reviews. The CD is a mix of east meets west and some electro in between. This is not all but only a segment of the styles he composes. Instrumental work is his main arena these days, and he feels there are limitless possibilities to mood and groove while bringing the impact of sound when it is required. Steve has been involved in the music industry for a long time, recording and live work - He honed his skills in the real world of live music. He's am a freelance home studio based composer which enables him to use his time effectively but live work is still a draw to him - He really enjoys writing for jazz themes and the challenge of sound design for specific moments. He's written most genres from techno to classical style and most things in between. Steve loves to experiment! He tries to think out of the box especially in sound design projects.Just recently he has re opened the archive of songs written and recorded in 1992-93,they have not been heard since their birth. Some have now been added to the list of tracks currently available here.
