LA-area band JJ & The Real Jerks was formed by lead singer Joseph Jennings in 2009. With a style reminiscent of The Ramones, their influences are 70's style Rock, including the early sounds of Aerosmith, The New York Dolls, The Heartbreakers, and others. Recording Garage Rock, Rock, and Punk music, their songs are fast, loud, and catchy. In a true throwback to the 70's, their 2010 single "The Future Is Now (And It Stinks)" was released on a blue vinyl seven-inch 45 RPM with a futuristic picture sleeve designed by Damian Fulton, an El Segundo-based Surf and Hot Rod artist.
