This is a short keyboard piece in 6/8 time. It is simple and cheerful. Keywords: keyboard music classical piano The elder Bach was 50 when Johann Christian was born, so Johann Christian Bach's music tends more to the classical tradition than Baroque. J. C. F. Bach was the ninth son of J. S. Bach, and was born in the same year as Haydn. So he was on the cusp of the transition from the Baroque period to the classical period. He is certainly one of the more obscure composers of that period, but evidently was quite prolific. Wikipedia says that "a significant portion of J. C. F. Bach's output was lost in the WWII destruction of the Staatliches Institut für Musikforschung in Berlin, where the scores had been on deposit since 1917." Makes me sad!
