It’s evening, the shadows are tall
I’m here with my back to the wall
My friends say its best not to call you
“Just write her a letter, the sooner the better is all”

This morning I woke up alone
The distance between us has grown
I’m writing inviting you home
Its feels like forever, the sooner the better is all
