Delusion of Conspiracy

There’s something happening, but I don’t want to speak too loud
They could be listening, You never know when they’re around

I hear their footsteps when I’m walking alone at night
I know they’re following behind me but just out of sight

I hear the voices going round and round in my head
I see their faces, I smile but they mock me instead
When sleep eludes me, I think that they whisper my name

I lie awake at night and think of the day that’s passed
As I analyse each moment from the first to the last

I see them looking but they seem to avoid my gaze
I hear them speaking, I’m sure that I know what they say
