With 20 years experience as a musician and songwriter, John Mamone's eclectic musical style is garnering raves. As a multi-instrumentalist and an incredible singer, his music has been featured on MTV's Two a Days, and he has recorded with producer Jack Richardson (The Guess Who, Alice Cooper), and opened up for Big Sugar, and Pete Best, the original drummer for The Beatles. John is best-known as the former bass player, lead singer and main songwriter for the Canadian rock band Volume Water. During his career, John Mamone has performed as bass player, lead singer and main songwriter for Volume Water, a Hamilton, Ontario, band formed in 2003. For seven years, John performed in approximately 700 concerts with the band, including performances at the Volume Water shows with members from the bands I Mother Earth and Finger Eleven.
Volume Water's debut CD, “Underneath the Sun,” was released in 2005. John produced the band's 2008 CD, a 15-track collection entitled "Land of the Greed... Home of the Slave." This CD was nominated for Rock Recording of the Year at the Hamilton Music Awards. In 2008, Volume Water was selected by Hamilton’s rock radio station, Y108, as the Extreme Band Slam winners, and was a Provincial Finalist in the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands. They were voted Gold Winners in the 2009 View Magazine Reader's Poll as the Best Local Band, Best Band website, Best Album Artwork, and Band Most Likely to Make It Big.
