The Limmo band started in Germany, where Russians guitar player Evgeny Kiselevich and singer Alisa Bikkenina recorded their début single, Stay With You. The single was published by an American independent label, which attracted the attention of an Italian producer, whereupon Limmo moved to Rome. The band was then enriched by a third new member, Russian artist Dmitry Polosin, who suggested they continue working in Moscow. Limmo was complete with the arrival of the drummer, Pavel Skachkov.
