Francesco Giovannangelo was born in 1985 in Guardiagrele (Chieti, Italy). He began to play piano at age 5, and at 11 he was admitted to the piano course taught by Pierluigi Secondi at the "Luisa D'Annunzio" Musical Conservatory in Pescara. Francesco graduated in 2008 with high honors (110/110 cum laude), with a thesis on a sound and spectrographic analysis of four preludes by Claude Debussy. Through the years he took part in several piano competitions (Ortona, Gabicce, Osimo, Caserta, Rocchetta al Volturno), where he always won first place.
