Taiko Dub is an eclectic mix of electronic, tribal, jungle-ambient, and decidedly Japanese with taiko drum influences driving the rhythm. Created in the late 2000's by Japanese artist DJ Juri, Taiko Dub derives its roots from House-oriented music, especially percussive-heavy tracks, but is an evolved form utilizing more drums, percussion, ambiences and, for the "dub" aspect of it (not the reggae meaning), introducing a taiko percussive-drum atmosphere. This is the essence of "Taiko Dub".
