Q. For the display of my music on YouTube, do I earn money? A. Yes. Please note that ads will only start to play for a track at YouTube after a certain number of views (plays) of the track have occurred. Additionally, YouTube allocates earnings to tracks according to the number of plays that have occurred regardless of whether any ads have been displayed in association or proximity to the playback of any individual track. So, the more plays one of your tracks gets on YouTube, the higher your earnings will be.
Unfortunately YouTube has one of the lowest per-stream payout rates of the major music sites in the industry, however, they have huge traffic in general and so they do generate a lot of revenue for music artists. Ironically, YouTube turns out to be the largest music listening portal or website in the world today! ---
