Merry Christmas
The New Year's almost here
And we've had some bad days
With lots of sadness and many tears
So I've made you a little present
A special calendar for your wall
And its got a space for every day
But I did not use 'em all

And it's got no 9/11
And there's no December 7
No November 22 or April 4
I thought the world would be much better
If we'd forsake those days forever
I really hope you'll put my calendar on your wall

I stayed up all night
And worked all through the day
I kept in the good days
And threw the bad ones all away
Well it's here now and its finished
And it's ready to grace your wall
I just hope and pray It finds a way
To bring good will to all

So there'll be no more 9/11s
And no more December 7s
No November 22s or April 4s
I pray the whole world comes together
and we forsake those days forever
