Born deep in the country, I ride where the wild winds blow
I found a Secret Valley, where the bubbling waters flow
With flowers of every colour, such beauty cast a spell
It’s where I spilled my heartache, when my tender first love fell

With feet held firm in the stirrups
Fingers tight on the reins
Hooves pounding like thunder
Freedom surges through my veins
As the sun shines through the tree tops
Where the golden eagles fly
I’m home in Natures Valley
Where the beautiful mountains reach the sky

For years I worked the city, stone forests hide the sky
The longing grew much stronger, till something inside me died
I turned my back on the city, to ride once again in the fall
In the place I lost my heart to; the vision hung proud on my wall

The old bones are fairly creaking, though heart and spirit are strong
Soon be no tomorrows, till the day that I’m called home
Just lay me in my Valley, I’ll watch the seasons go by 
My soul will ride forever
