Our story first began with some coins upon the bar
I’d seen her through the window and I’d worshipped from afar
So I cautiously approached put my hand around her waist
I raised her to my lips to savour that first taste

It was 1759 when she said her first hello
And the boys from miles around heard her reputation grow
So they came from far and wide just to have a little go
As long as you pay your money boys she never will say no

Since we became acquainted she has surely changed my life
I see her everyday now, more often than my wife
Every evening she is there for me to wash my cares away
She’s an angel, she’s a devil, but I love her anyway

When I feel like I’ve had enough, and the boss is on my case
I know I can rely on her to put a smile back on my face
She’s never changed at all she’s been faithful, always true
So I bless the day I found that bar, and Arthur’s magic brew
