What were we thinking,
Once was too much
Twice was a madness,
That overcame us.

Now we're blinded by flash bulbs,
And digital pixels,
Enshrine is forever,
As baptismal smiles squiggle. 

Like a cartoon catastrophe's,
Celebratory dance,
Who's choreography's timing,
Leaves the rhythm to chance.

Oh, what were we thinking,
Once was too much
Twice was a madness,
That overcame us.

When we're done here we're leaving,
To a quiet darkened room,
And reflect how the preceding,
Ritual consumed. 

That simple declaration,
Of our willingness to spend,
