The Devil And Mister Leech 

Now here's a little story the strangest of tales 
Of one man's fight to keep its demons at bay
How drink got the better and sealed his fate
And pacts with the devil you just don't wanna make 

A slip of the tongue and the damage was done
False bravado and his luck run
Deep into madness on route to the grave 
Was it indulgence or a trick his mind played 

Lost and alone and miles from home 
Cut to shreds so the story goes
Nick called in the ticket on the oath Leech broke
You don't go breaking promises when the price us your soul

They tried to revive him asked the Lord to breathe life in
But he was inconsolable and plain outta reach
Solitude reflection seemed the only way
But in the deafening silence Old Nick had his way

Now the moral of this story 
Don't take much to explain 
Drink in moderation 
It's the safest way
Braggin' and a bluffin'
Only ends one way
For your sons you will answer
For your sins you will pay

Not once twice three times told
A deal with the devil his soul he sold
Not so brave now and not so bold 
Mister Leech dead to the bone 
(Swinging high up on that rope)

Let the devil take the first man to leave this place
Those fateful words the oath he would break
Deluded confused how his mind raced
And when those creatures descended
It was clearly too late
