Seems like we’re born in this world
We got no problems
Then come the goblins
They’re hiding under the bed

Then later on we are hurled
Into the classroom
Bullies have mushroomed
We handle them in our head

Time goes by and we
Find a way
To get through the day
Keeping quiet on our own

Look for others who
Feel this way
See if they will play
Now we find we’re not alone

How the years go by
And then we find
There comes a time
When we’re attracted to someone
We’re too shy to talk to one

Kids are getting high
And getting by
While others die
We stay busy having fun
Seems we’re always on the run

Then we slide into society
Find a way to keep your dignity
While you’re looking for some food to eat
Find the work you need

There is beauty on this Earth we see
There are moments when you’re feeling free
Solving conflicts as they need to be
Agree to disagree

If you’re lucky you will find someone
Who will open up your heart
Find the beauty underneath the sun
And never be apart

If it happens that you lose the one
That will be when trauma starts
You will find your soul has been undone
Your heartscape is stark

If you never get over it
It will be an enormous pit
In your abdomen
Where it’s always been

And then all of the choices made
Born from feelings you cannot trade
Will be compromised
See it in your eyes

Although you might play the game
There’s no chance that it’s the same
Someone’s loss another’s gain
Even if it ends in rain

Often two is more than one
Even if they’ve been undone
Someone who can share the pain
No one is to blame

Just do your best
Just like the rest
No we’re not blessed
