Ain’t nobody died from smokin’ pot.
To say otherwise is just pure rot.
And nobody stealing for their own stash.
Ain’t mugging ole ladies for some of their cash.

Nancy Reagan would say just say no
While giving cocktail parties that’s really low
Kids everywhere are quite confused
How some drugs are bad some abused
The message is mixed indeed
Some drugs are bad – some you need.

Now pot and cocaine aren’t in the same class
Pot makes you slow – cocaine makes you fast.
But these drugs are bad say politicians.
As they pop prescribed pills for their condition.

So those pointing fingers at what they say is wrong
May not be smoking crack or lighting a bong
But I bet you my last deposit
They’ve got an addiction in their closet.

Cause drugs are drugs don’t matter what’s legal
Whether it cuts your pain or makes you soar like an eagle
Cause if you need something outside of  you
Then being straight may seen hard to do
But if you don’t try you’ll never know
How far in life you can really go.
