I wish I learned at a younger age
Not to take life too seriously.
Still want to do right.  Still want to do well.
But now I know and I’ve got to tell you that…

Mistakes are no big deal.
Though mistakes can make you feel so low.   
Mad at yourself and lonely inside.
Maybe like you want to run and hide.
But mistakes are no big deal.
Most mistakes are no big deal.

I’ve done my time jailed in anxious thought.
Nothing ever flows from a worried mind.
I don’t always know exactly what’s best
I do what I can and I leave the rest, and know…
