Neo-Lounge (also known as Contemporary Lounge), is a departure from the traditional lounge/cabaret sub-genre, primarily fueled by the emergence of synthesizers, drum machines and MIDI technology in the mid-80s. A subgenre of Electronic Downtempo music, it is inspired by many different other music styles, including Electronica, Dance, Jazz, and to a lesser degree Rock and R&B. Neo-Lounge is played in many urban areas worldwide in nightclubs as well as in private clubs where the focus is entirely not on dance but on socializing.
Opening with an airy violin and soprano staccatos this track evolves in a sort of quirky Hybrid Ambient mid tempo electric guitar based piece over a Techno / House drum line.
