Q. Is "O Mio Babbino Caro" a public domain composition? A. Yes in some places, but not everywhere. This song was written in 1918, hence is in the public domain in the US now. For the rest of the world, the problem with this song is that the librettist Forzano died in 1970, hence outside the US it is still in copyright until 2040.
