Q.  Does deactivating Playback for an account stop the subscription and billing?

A.  There are a few different scenarios to consider here.

Trial Accounts - For a client account that using RadioSparx in a Free-Trial mode, RadioSparx does not generate any invoices in the first place.  By disabling playback for the client's account, the client will then not be able to play any more music, and the account, at least for billing purposes, will remain a free trial and no invoice will be generated.

Disabling playback for a Free-Trial account is a means of suspending an account from further music playback by the client, although the client can still sign in and perform various administrative tasks such as uploading and preparing new custom ads, building custom stations, and configuring a custom schedule.  However, please note that disabling playback for a Free-Trial account does not have any effect on billing since no billing occurs for a Free-Trial account in the first place.

Subscriber Accounts - For an active subscription account, disabling playback does not suspend billing for the account, nor cause any existing invoices to be deleted.  Rather, in general, the main purpose of disabling playback is to compel a client who is tardy in paying a previous invoice to make payment, to have their service restored and allow music playback to resume.

To disable billing for a subscriber account, instead you would need to actually cancel the subscription for the account, which can be done under the Control Options icon for the client's account (i.e. their SubAccount under your reseller account).

For an active subscriber account that wants to discontinue one or more of the User locations under it, at this time you would need to contact RadioSparx at info@radiosparx.com to let us know the Client IDs for the specific Users that should be deactivated.

For these User locations, we will then disable playback and also
disable sign-in, to prevent the affected User(s) from playing any more music.  We will also decrement the SubAccount client's service contract by that number of locations so that for any new invoices generated afterwards, the disabled User locations will not be billed for any more.  By using this method, the disabled User account(s) remain online (but not usable by the client) so that, if necessary, you can still generate a Play History report for the deactivated User locations, to prove to any society or court what music was playing at those locations for any date range period desired.
